Get Rid of All that (Butt) Inside Them Jeans!

Dearest Readers,

We’ve all got a donk. Let’s not deny it or try to hide it. But let’s tone it, so we keep it looking classy, not flabby. Glutes are not super hard to work, so here are my favorites:

Squeeze Them Cheeks: Literally just squeeze your butt cheeks and walk to class. It hurts a lot. It kind of makes you look like you are trying not to fart, according to my lovely friend G.Eds, so try to keep your walk subtle. I am not posting a picture of this exercise in an attempt not to look constipated on my blog.Ā Embarrassing….

Glute Raises: Lay on the ground with your knees bent, shoulder-width apart, and squeeze your butt cheeks as you lift your butt in the air to create a straight diagonal line from your knees to your shoulder blades. Then go back down. Keep the top of your shoulder blades on the ground at all times. Added bonus: it works your abs….always a win. Do 20 reps.

End (Ah yet glutes)

Squats: Squats are good for many things if done properly: quads and glutes mainly. The key is stand up straight then bend your knees and STICK YOUR BUTT OUT as if you were sitting in a chair. You will look ridiculous. It is an important part of squats: humiliation. And don’t let your knees go over your toes!!!!! (and keep your back straight as you lean over or it’ll be terrible form) You can squat and stand up 15 times and you can squat and walk back and forth (walk up and down your room a few times). Also squat and hold it down there for 30 seconds … Feel the burn.

Squat: my knees should be farther back and I don't need to be leaning down as much...but I had only 3 seconds to run into position.....

Now ladies and gentlemen, good luck with your glutes. Or should I say…..kick some (butt)!!!!
